As a parent, I know that you and I have at least one major thing in common: our love and concern for our children. We dream that they will lead happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives. And if you share similar values as me, you expect your kids to be good people with character.
I know exactly what it feels like to want to shield and protect my three young girls from the ugly things of the world in hopes that it will keep them on the right path, but after many years in the mental health field I've learned a thing or two. More specifically, I have learned that every parent who wants the best life for their kids needs to know how to support the building of resilience within them.
I am dedicated to supporting, educating, and training my clients as they strengthen specific skills sets critical to their overall resilience and well-being. My primary goal is to empower kids and families to feel confident and equipped to handle current and future stressors in a more effective and efficient way, positioning them to take advantage of opportunities for success, and grow together as a cohesive unit. I believe stronger resilience gives you that edge on achieving your biggest goals and dreams.
As a certified Clini-Coach®, I am unique because I work with kids from a family systems lens - meaning the whole family unit is taken into consideration when working with a child. Much of my work in the past has been with military families through a program out of UCLA's Semel Institute. Although the work I do now is coaching and resiliency skills training, I continue to hold my professional Marriage and Family Therapy license in California (LMFT #52089) and in Wisconsin (LMFT 1285-124).
